The Typhoon Anchor Peg (TAP), while still having the same size insertion and extraction hole, has been thoughtfully designed and engineered to the next level of evolution. The unique aspect of the TAP is that it deploys a larger subterranean footprint than the insertion hole and becomes stronger the greater the forces exerted on it from above ground. Simply put, the windier it gets the more the subterranean footprint extends and the stronger it gets. Its robust construction allows the TAP to be inserted using a mallet and extracted by pulling on the outer sheath. While the TAP has its limitations, unlike other ground anchors that yield at 1kg, the TAP constantly pulls 30kg or greater in the same ground conditions.
